Saffron Walden Media Studies

Oscar's evalulation on film making. My group consisted of; Sean, Matthew, Emily, Hannah and myself. We decided to create a 'blair witch' stlye short film using only the school grounds for the setting.I and the rest of the group, I believe enjoyed filming and we all took turns with the camra.
Everyone contributed there ideas for each scene wich made it easier and more enjoyable when it came to editing and pulling all our ideas together.I do not yet fully understand the editing software 'Apple HD I-movie' but i beleive i will soon get the hang of it.Overall i found this project enoyable but I also believe it would of benefited from more lesson time, wich would of enabled us to add the finishing touches like credits etc.OIII p.s nice cat there, im sure it would taste sweet.

Possibly the most shocking news in the history of man

A film has been made, far to good for others to see. Mr Hawkins (night bird), Mr Wathan (the big man), Mr Rawe (uncooked chicken) and Mr Preston (located up north). The four muskateers of the film industry. The film these four brave men made have touched others hearts across the globe. With the excessive use of water spraying in Preston's face, this is one to be seen. Fred and Jeremy stand as very exclusive secret agents and provide the movie with depth and a sense of slick action.

Out on thursday at your local stores,

Ask Jeeves

I am very shocked

Who could have predicted that a story of three gangsters and an inhuman water-firing maniac could capture a nation's heart so quickly? We could have.

Featuring the classic Rawe film style, the film depicts the tale of a man's inner conflict, as he delves ever deeper into Saffron Walden's dirty underbelly.

New just in!

The blockbuster movie "Shock," directed by the prestigious director Sir. Fred Rawe, has just won six awards including best moving picture, and best directing. The film, now believed to have grossed over $100,000,000, has been hailed by critics as the greatest film of the 21st century.
The special collectors edition of the film will be available on a double disc DVD next year.

fillllm

our film was about a serial killer who walked down corridors and jumped out at people when they weren't looking...at one point the serial killer had to attack us all one by one.......it was mad :D

Emmz 1 Blog

Emmz 1st blog!!!!! YAY!!
In our media group we all did a bit of everything. Our film was about a killer who killed his victims one by one. I had a famous scene were i was running away from the killer. i did this by holding the camara at eye line and runngin to make it look like my point of view. THIS WAS GOOD! it then showed me runngin like a prat down the corridoor. We all did a bit of filming and all put in some VERY INTELIGENT ideas. We edited it with some wkd sounds that fitted perfectly and some SPOOKY effects. our film turned out wkd!
wot a boarin 1st blog hehe!!!! lvvvz it!

media video shock

In our media video, there were several characters who were victims and one who was the stalker. Our group did well coping with limited surroundings and used the camera to create good effects.

Thriller film!

Hi Guys!

Our group was Oscar, Sean, Emily, Hannah and me. At first we weren't sure what to do - so we went round the school and got ideas of the weird places we could film. We sort of made it up as we went along - best way to do it really! Oscar played the "spooky man in black" and Hannah and Emily were the "crazy scared girls" - naturals of course! ; )

We then edited it through the Apple HD iMovie where we deleted most of the original sound picked up by the camera and replaced it with sound effects and background noise. At the end of the mini-movie you don't really know who the "man in black" is - you just know that Hannah won't be telling anyone about it!

I think the best scene with the background music is the last scene in the pit - the door banging and the lights flickering. I also liked the scene with Oscar walking down the corridor and the earthquake effects that was added to it. We tried to have him fading in and out, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time and it was complicated to do. I think the begining scene of the film wasn't very good and the scene with me and sean walking up the stairs didn't really work very well.
our film was pretty good, it didnt rele need music to it, or sound affects, we kind of made them on set usin chairs chucked across the room. We thought it would look crap but it turned out ok and editing wasnt that hard, it didnt rele last very long, only bout a min and a half but was quite 'suspenseful'
Everyone saw the lame version of our film when mr mctear 'edited' it and made it really bad.. no offence.

Media

There will never be a film with the amount of talent shown in this film ever again!

no music needed (sarah's sound affects really that good!!

In our 'team' we produced a film called 'Shock'! I was the big scary thing at the end which gave the film a big 'shock!' Sarah Clarke is now best camera girl in the world and Sarah Devlin's quality sound affects added to the acting qualities of Owen O'malley and myself! Overall film of year 2006!!!
Second that Gina, I feel that compelling message has not only touched the hearts of the youngest in our year but also those of a nervous disposistion. I feel the use of special effects enhanced our film dramacticly however the limitation of our space in which to film discredited the true portential of this masterpiece. over n out

Shock this

Fred. Jeremy. Joe. Gerry.

Just a few of the names that spring to mind when one thinks of the defining directors of the past century.

Nobody in the film industry could have predicted the incredible collaboration of these fine craftsmen. Their craft? Film.

Being the most talented, modest, and hardworking of the four, Gerry was undoubtedly the creative driving force behind the project, with all short falls down to Fred.

The opening music was created by Joe Preston. It has already sold over 18'000'000'000 copies worldwide.

Already showing at Cannes, and shortly at the SWCHS *Cough* film festival....The picture allowed all members to express themselves creatively, with the helping hand of the high-tech hardware and software available to the creators. Despite a rocky start, in which the camera was fitted with a head cleaning cassette, and then the entire film was shot, the crew soon sorted out all problems, and it was but a few weeks before the final editing took place.

Jeremy dedicated the film to Dave.

Our film...

I think our film gave great awareness about drugs and how they affect you badly if you do them in school. By the way no-one really did drugs in it (except mark wanted to but we told him to wait till later).
I don't think our film is suitable for people who feel sick easily as it has lots of effects.
The special effects in our film were really amazing and made you feel like you were on drugs but he dies in the end so you don't want to do them.

I think everyone filmed and acted really well! CONGRATS!

Media

In my group I filmed the movie, Sarah did the sound and Owen and Tom acted in the movie. Our film name was called "shock" and was filmed in B10. We used sound effects to build up tension and suspense. It was filmed in the dark and used sounds such as chairs being thrown and the sound of the door creaking. It was a good short film and used sounds well. It built up tension and had a climax at the end, when the audience didn't know what was about to happen.
I want to congradulate gina smith and storey on their oscar winning preformance in what can only be described as this years greatest work of art ! Bravo !
My group: Sarah Clarke, Owen O'malley, Tom Beckwith
Within our short film entitled "Shock", I contributed by making the sound effects, to create an eerie atmosphere and build up tension. The film was directed by Sarah, and starred Tom and Owen. It was filmed in a classroom in B corridor, and filmed most of the video in darkness, so that the audience couldn't see what was about to happen at the end of the film. Our piece was a good length, however we could have improved our piece by using an eerie, creepy piece of music to fit in with the theme of our film.
